Justin Haley Leads 21 Laps in No. 51 Beef-a-Roo Ford Mustang Dark Horse at Coke Zero Sugar 400

ROCKFORD, Ill. (Aug. 26, 2024) – Beef-a-Roo, the fast-casual restaurant brand known for its famously delicious meals and commitment to quality, is thrilled to reflect on an unforgettable weekend at Daytona International Speedway. As the primary partner of Rick Ware Racing, Beef-a-Roo cheered on driver Justin Haley as he took to the track in the iconic No. 51 Beef-a-Roo Ford Mustang Dark Horse for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Cup Series race.

The race was full of anticipation and excitement as Haley, who’s first Cup Series win came in the 2019 Coke Zero 400, showcased his skill and determination on one of NASCAR’s most prestigious stages. In his ninth NASCAR Cup Series start at Daytona, Haley put on an impressive performance, particularly during Stage 2, where he earned five bonus points by finishing sixth.

The highlight of the evening came as Haley took the lead for 21 laps, making a spectacular overtake that caught the attention of none other than NBA legend Michael Jordan, whose reaction of “Oh Wow” went viral across social media. Haley’s time in the “Roo-Mobile” proved Beef-a-Roo’s commitment to delivering thrilling moments, both on and off the track.

Unfortunately, Haley’s race was cut short after an accident on lap 151, just nine laps shy of the finish. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Haley’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary, and many believed he had the potential to secure a victory. His determination and the skill displayed on the track have only strengthened Beef-a-Roo’s resolve to continue this exciting partnership.

“You know it’s going to happen, but you just have to keep going. That’s just part of it. It’s unfortunate. It was a good run for us. We’ll keep digging and go to the next one. I appreciate everyone at Rick Ware Racing for their hard work. We had a good car and led some laps, and we go to one of our better tracks next week. We got lucky to flip one of the stages there and were able to get up front, so we had a good run,” said Justin Haley, driver of the No. 51 Beef-a-Roo Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Matt Riddle, CEO of Beef-a-Roo, shared his thoughts on the weekend’s events: “We are very proud of Justin Haley’s incredible performance and thankful for his safety. We look forward to a continued partnership with Justin, Rick Ware Racing, Ford Performance, and NASCAR. This weekend was a blast.”

Beef-a-Roo’s partnership with Rick Ware Racing marks a significant milestone in the brand’s journey as it continues to expand nationally. The synergy between Beef-a-Roo’s dedication to quality and community, and NASCAR’s dynamic, fast-paced environment, has proven to be a perfect match.

The next event on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule is the Cook Out Southern 500 on Sunday, Sept. 1 at Darlington Raceway. As Beef-a-Roo continues its partnership with Rick Ware Racing, fans can expect more thrilling moments and delicious food from a brand that knows how to make an impact, both on and off the track.
